This weekend, the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of Bunks Across America is working on what it hopes to be its largest bed build ever. That means they planned to build 300 beds in a single day on Saturday.
“We will also be holding a Bedding Drive, so please bring new twin sized beds in a bag and pillows to donate,” said a notice from the Sleep in Heavenly Peace organization. “We are looking for corporations, churches, service organizations and individuals who are willing to sponsor beds for this build.”
Sleep in Heavenly Peace brings together volunteers to build beds for children in need with its Bunks Across America program. Volunteers learn how to use tools like saws and drills while they help out. More information is available here.
