WAXAHACHIE (1080 KRLD)- Some streets are closed off in downtown Waxahachie Thursday afternoon after police say a bomb threat was made at the Ellis County Courts & Administration building.

Waxahachie police tell KRLD DFW's bomb squad is on the scene to help out. The Ellis County Sheriff says the threat came via a phone call and officers have proceeded to evacuate each floor out of an abundance of caution.

Ellis County Commissioner Paul D. Perry confirmed via Facebook that just before 3 p.m. a bomb threat was made at Ellis County Courts and Administration Building where most court trials are held. He says the building was evacuated, some streets were blocked off and some businesses were asked to close.
