Dickies Arena will soon have a new name, according to arena officials.

The arena itself is not going anywhere, but the Fort Worth venue will lose the Dickies name.

Dickies signed the naming rights deal in 2017 while the company's headquarters was still located in Fort Worth. Since then, the company has been sold and is now headquartered in California.

Matt Homan, president and general manager of Trail Drive Management Corp., which operates the arena, told KRLD's David Johnson that maintaining the company's name on the building is no longer a priority for Dickies.

Homan said arena officials expect significant interest from companies seeking the naming rights to the venue but plan to focus on finding a partner that is the best fit for the arena and the Fort Worth community.

The development comes as major sports venue arrangements across North Texas continue to evolve. The Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars have been exploring future arena options beyond the American Airlines Center, while Fort Worth's premier entertainment venue prepares for a new corporate identity.

Dickies Arena opened in 2019 and hosts concerts, sporting events, rodeos and other major entertainment events throughout the year. Arena officials have not announced a timeline for selecting a new naming rights partner or when the venue's new name will be unveiled.
