There's going to be a new direct flight to paradise out of DFW Airport starting in December. Fiji Airways has announced its first-ever non-stop flight from Fiji to DFW.

The 13-hour flight will operate three times a week on an Airbus A350 900 that has 301 economy seats and 33 business class seats.

"The new Fiji-Dallas service is set to bring more than 1,000 passengers a week into Fiji alone, helping to bolster the nation's tourism industry. The overnight flight will also offer our customers increased connections to North America from the South Pacific and beyond" Fiji Airways Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Andre Viljoen said.

DFW will be Fiji Airways' fifth direct flight to the U.S. It already has flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Vancouver. The flight will not even come close to the longest out of DFW, though. Qantas flies a route from DFW to Melbourne that takes nearly 18 hours.

The longest flight in the world, you ask? That would be a Newark to Singapore route flown by Singapore Airlines.
