A North Texas doctor is accused of indecent actions with his patients.

Dr. Ikenna Adugba, 64, is charged with inappropriately touching four women at his Denton practice.

"We have identified four total female patients who reported that he had inappropriately touched them during doctor's appointments," says Amy Cunningham, Denton Police spokeswoman. "It is possible that there are additional victims out there."

Dr. Adugba is a doctor of internal medicine and a Medicaid provider who lives in Coppell.

The investigation started last May, when a woman reported that Dr. Adugba inappropriately touched her during an appointment at First Care Medical Center in Denton.

During the course of the investigation, three additional women came forward, saying Dr. Adugba inappropriately touched them between 2022 and 2023.

While it's certainly not uncommon for a doctor to touch his or her patients, Cunningham says this touching was completely out of bounds.

"These were general exams in which the touching was absolutely inappropriate," says Cunningham. "It was not necessary for that appointment."

Dr. Adugba is charged with four counts of indecent assault and is free on $80,000 bond.

Anyone else who may have had a similar encounter with Dr. Adugba is asked to call Det. Marqui Curtis at 940-349-7727.
