Domestic violence suspect leads Lake Worth police on long pursuit

A man is now locked up after leading police from several departments on a long, winding pursuit last night.

Sometimes high-speed and sometimes low, the chase began in Lake Worth where police were on a domestic violence call.

The man that police believed to be armed scrambled into a white pick-up and took off into Parker County, winding around on country roads at speeds up to 80 at times. Then the pick-up started heading east on Jacksboro Highway back into Tarrant County, cutting over through the Stock Yards and then into Haltom City.

That's where it ended just before 10 p.m. after police were able to spike the tires.

Once his pick-up came to a halt, the driver didn't put up any more resistance and was hauled to jail on long list of charges.
