Nearly 225,000 doses of Pfizer coronavirus vaccine could arrive in Texas soon

Nearly 225,000 doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine could arrive in Texas as soon as next week. So where will they go?

The Texas Department of State Health Services, says 224,250 doses of the vaccine will be shipped to 109 hospitals in 34 counties across the state.

Hospitals in Collin, Tarrant and Dallas counties will be getting thousands of viles.

Fort Worth fire chief Jim Davis says they will work with local health officials to distribute the vaccine but has this warning saying "just because we have a lot of excitement about the vaccines coming, it does not mean that the vaccine is the cure-all. It's going to take several months for that to actually work to the efficiency that we need it to work."

Davis says January and February looks like they will see even higher number of cases and hospitalizations and he urges everyone to continue to wear a mask.
