You might notice a lot of changes already in Downtown Dallas ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
Downtown Dallas Inc. is putting a lot of their focus on Main Street with a number of attractions set to start opening up.
Shalissa Perry with Downtown Dallas Inc. says they spent quite a bit of time planning this out.
"We narrowed down several pedestrian zones that were key for getting people from one destination to the other," Perry said. "Main Street really stood out to us because it's a major connector. Most of our hotels, residential, restaurants, bars, are all along Main Street."
They have activated Main Street this week for the duration of the World Cup which wraps up in the middle of July.
Pedestrians will notice new shade structures as well as games and seating.
Downtown Dallas Inc. partnered with Better Block which is a non-profit that helps to reshape neighborhoods.
