More than 80 projects are underway in Downtown Dallas aiming to enhance the area in the months and weeks before the FIFA World Cup.
Shalissa Perry with Downtown Dallas Inc says they are working on landscaping projects that include the planting of 500 trees.
"My favorite is working on some murals throughout downtown," Perry said. "We've finished about eight or ten murals.
Some are large and some are small and we've got several more in the works."
She says once they are finished with everything, people should see a noticeable difference.
Downtown Dallas Inc is now hiring seasonal employees for the World Cup to be hospitality ambassadors. You can find more about that here.
Downtown Dallas Inc is partnering with a number of different entities depending on the various projects.
"We are working very closely with the City of Dallas on a lot of projects," Perry said. "We are working with the local FIFA organizing committee and running a lot of our projects by them as well."
