More than a dozen families in Mesquite are looking for a new place to live after a fire damaged their homes.
Mesquite fire officials say the fire damaged 16 units at The Place, an apartment complex on Towne Crossing Boulevard. There is no word yet on how the fire got started but investigators are still looking into it.
The fire broke out Wednesday afternoon and spread quickly. Fortunately, everyone got out safely.
The Red Cross is working with the city of Mesquite to find new homes for those who lost everything and were displaced. The local charity Sharing Life is accepting donations from anyone who wants to help those families.
