The Humane Society of North Texas is urgently seeking foster homes after rescuing between 50 and 60 Maltese dogs from a serious animal cruelty case.

The dogs - mostly adults and teens - are now safe, but the shelter says it’s overwhelmed and needs temporary homes to help them recover and prepare for adoption.

Officials say Maltese dogs are generally small, manageable, and make loving companions once given proper care.

Foster families will receive all necessary supplies, including food, crates, and veterinary support.

If you’re able to help, visit the Humane Society of North Texas website to apply or donate.
