A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper found 105 people in the cargo area of an 18-wheeler on Monday after a traffic stop on US 59. It happened in Webb County just outside of Laredo.
The driver of the rig has been referred to Homeland Security Investigations. A photo taken by the DPS shows men and women crammed shoulder to shoulder inside the rig.
It's the second time an 18-wheeler has been found hauling dozens of people in the region in the past week. On July 13th, Customs and Border Protection agents with the Laredo West Station found 90 people inside an 18-wheeler during an inspection at a border checkpoint.
