The driver who was killed in a Grand Prairie crash over the weekend has now been identified.
Sunday, police found the mangled wreckage of an SUV that had smashed into an 18-wheeler on Hunter Ferrell near Belt Line. Police say the SUV driver, now identified as Salvador Gallegos Hernandez, was killed at the scene.
Police learned from witnesses that the SUV was going excessively fast and ran a red light as the semi-truck turned onto Hunter Ferrell near Belt Line.
The semi driver was not hurt and police say he will not face any charges.
