Reunion Tower’s iconic New Year’s Eve celebration will go on but without a drone show this year.
Coppell-based Sky Elements Drones, the company originally slated to fly during the event, has pulled out after a recent mishap in Florida where drones collided and fell into a crowd, injuring a 7-year-old boy.
Reunion Tower’s president says the decision was made “out of an abundance of caution.”
Despite the change, the night will still feature a fireworks spectacular and a stunning LED light show lighting up the Dallas skyline.
