Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier is giving more information about the triple murder west of Fort Worth late last month.
He says investigators believe 19-year-old Barrett Copeland and 27-year-old Trin Lawrence McKnight knew the victims.
"In that community, if you're familiar with it, it's a small community," Authier said. "The main suspects who are charged with capital murder, they went to rob the other two, the married couple."
Authier says a third person who was originally arrested with the other two was eventually let go after he says the two main suspects admitted he had nothing to do with it.
Investigators believe the robbery and murders had to do with drugs which is something Authier says law enforcement has to deal with all over Parker County.
"Most of what we see here is methamphetamine," Authier said. "That's a huge part."
18-year-old Michael Dylan Lee Morris was later arrested in connection to the disposal of the bodies.
42-year-old David Walker and his wife 44-year-old Tiffany Williams along with their roommate 55-year-old Robbie Head were killed.
Authier says they believe Head was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
