It was a controversial game to begin with, now Duncanville High has canceled that football game.

Their opponent Ohio’s Bishop Sycamore made national headlines after they reportedly lied to ESPN about the talent level of its roster so it could get on national television. They got blown out 58-0. What's more, Sycamore’s roster appears to be filled with several players who might have already graduated high school from other states. Their coach was fired Tuesday.

In a statement, Duncanville says they had some concerns after the reports and attempted to contact the school with questions about their operating procedures and players' eligibility. They couldn't get a hold of anyone.

The school says student safety is our top priority and say they can't ask the student athletes to take the field  without knowing more about who they will be facing.

Duncanville says they will be seeking a new opponent.
