At least a dozen people have been chased from their home by an early morning apartment fire in east Dallas.
Officials say the flames broke out just before 1 a.m. at The Cornerstone, an apartment building at the corner of Gaston and Munger.
Flames and smoke were very obvious when Dallas Fire Rescue pulled up but it seems that everyone got out safely.
Since it was a mild night, many of the residents just sat in the courtyard to keep an eye on the flames as firefighters did their job. The Red Cross was called in to help those left homeless.
