Tesla is getting some competition in Texas.
Another electric car company, Canoo, is coming to Texas, and this time they're setting up shop here in North Texas. Canoo is moving from California.
Glenn Hammer from the Texas Association of Business says they’re always thrilled when a company chooses Texas over California.
"When it's a technology company [and] when we take a look where the economy is going... it's a good time to celebrate," Hammer says.
He believes this move solidifies Texas as a leader in high-tech industries. Canoo is relocating to Justin and already has a partnership with Walmart and recently signed a contract with the Post Office to develop high-tech mail trucks.
