ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - A manufacturer of residential electric vehicle charging systems is putting up its first manufacturing plant in the U.S., and it's going up in Arlington.
Wallbox has announced that it has chosen Arlington as the site of its 130,000-sq.-ft. facility, although the specific location is yet to be determined.
The company currently has two plants in Europe and one in China.
The new plant will create around 250 new jobs locally.
Production could start as early as next June; and when the plant ramps up to full capacity by 2030, it's expected that it will manufacture a half-million units per year.
