ERCOT is one again asking Texans to cut back on power usage Wednesday afternoon and evening from 6 to 9 pm.
"Due to a high level of unexpected thermal generation outages and forecasted low wind generation, operating reserves for ERCOT are expected to be low this evening" said a release from ERCOT.
On Tuesday, ERCOT avoided emergency operations due to the conservation efforts by Texas residents and businesses, combined with wind improvements and additional grid reliability tools.
