The interim CEO of ERCOT announced plans for a "listening and education tour" across Texas over the summer, and Monday, he will meet with local officials in North Texas. The tour was part of a 60-point plan called, "Roadmap to Improving Grid Reliability" announced in July.

At a Texas Senate committee hearing in September, Chief Executive Brad Jones said he was launching the tour "to get [the public's] thoughts and also to answer their questions, to give them the confidence I hope to restore in ERCOT."

Jones is meeting with local officials and utility executives in North Texas Monday.

Monday evening, representatives from ERCOT will make a presentation in Coppell and then take questions from the public. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Coppell Town Center council chambers located at:

255 E Parkway Boulevard
Coppell, TX 75019

In October, the Public Utility Commission approved rules requiring power plants to make "best efforts" to fix known problems that led to the blackouts by December 1 or face fines.

Details about ERCOT's "Roadmap to Improving Grid Reliability" are available at the ERCOT website.
