The final report from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas shows 99 percent of power plants in Texas have met the winterization requirements set out by the Texas legislature.

The report shows 321 out of 324 generating and transmission facilities passed an inspection.
"I think we had a great response from both generators and transmission service providers trying to get themselves ready," said David Kezell, Director of Weatherization and Inspection for ERCOT.
ERCOT conducted inspections at 302 electric generation units and 22 transmission station facilities. For the three that did not meet all of the state's requirements, ERCOT will continue to work with those operators to bring the facilities into compliance. Those facilities account for 0.4% of the state's power-generation capacity.
"I believe that everyone in this industry felt some responsibility to respond to what we all experienced together last year," said Kezell.
