They're getting ready at Dallas area airports for Monday's eclipse with the expectation of a significant increase in travelers.

Officials estimate plane passengers and roadway traffic could go up 30% from Sunday through Tuesday from an influx of visitors.

Airport officials at DFW Airport and Dallas Love Field are planning high-volume traffic procedures like those they use for major holidays and significant events like this. This will include having additional staff at the airport, enhancing the monitoring of facilities, parking and roadway traffic, and increasing security patrols.

If you're flying out of Love Field, you're encouraged to get there at least 90 minutes early.

FAA officials say if you're flying anywhere along the path of the eclipse, make sure to pack your patience to deal with any extra delays.
