The families of some of the children who survived the Uvalde school shooting have filed a lawsuit against the estate of the shooter.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of four school children who suffered gunshot wounds at Robb Elementary on May 24th.
Reports say the lawsuit requests $1 million in damages for bodily injury, medical expenses and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Attorney Thomas J. Henry says the civil case against the estate of 18-year-old Salvador Ramos gives the families the ability to investigate the facts surrounding the school shooting, including how Ramos purchased the weapons used and the response by law enforcement.
Henry says they're exploring all available legal actions against all responsible parties.
