Texas and Oklahoma fans have started to arrive at the State Fair of Texas ahead of this year's Allstate Red River Rivalry. The game between the Longhorns and Sooners starts at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cotton Bowl and can be heard on NewsRadio 1080 KRLD.

"I look forward to this the second that clock hits zero. I start that 365-day calendar, and I'm counting down the days until we can kick Texas' booty," one Oklahoma fan said while taking pictures with his family near Big Tex.

"I've always been cheering for Texas," a UT fan countered. "It's always been fun watching the 'Horns whip up on the Sooners."

Texas leads the series between the two schools 63-50-5. Last year, the Longhorns won 49-0.

"All I know is we put up 49, and you didn't put up one," a Texas fan said to a friend who attends Oklahoma.

"We didn't have a quarterback," the Oklahoma fan said.

This year, both Texas and Oklahoma are 5-0.

Regardless of the rivalry, fans of both teams said one reason they look forward to the game is the time they can spend at the State Fair of Texas.

"It's exciting, it's fun, it's a bunch of food, lots of nice people and my darling grandchildren," one woman said.
