The FBI is detailing temporary flight restrictions for drone use during the FIFA World Cup.
FBI Dallas Field Office Special Agent in Charge Joe Rothrock says there is a three-mile restriction around AT&T Stadium and a one-mile restriction around Dallas Fair Park.
"Additional restrictions will apply for other locations including team hotels, base camps, and training facilities," SAIC Rothrock said. "These TFRs are intended to protect fans, players, and critical infrastructure."
Violations can result in $100,000 in fines, jail time, and law enforcement will seize the drone.
"Unsafe and improper use of drones during this timeframe poses a physical hazard to other aircraft, as well as to individuals on the ground," Rockrock said.
