A fire at a Fort Worth senior living apartment complex displaced dozens of residents Sunday, forcing many to evacuate into the cold with nowhere to stay.

Officials said at least three people were treated for smoke inhalation, and one person was taken to a hospital. The biggest concern for residents now is securing temporary housing after the hurried evacuation.

Fort Worth firefighters said the fire started around 11:30 a.m. on the fourth floor of the Linwood Square senior living apartments. Crews helped evacuate more than 50 residents, many of whom use wheelchairs or have mobility challenges.

The fire is under investigation.
