Fire crews battle blaze at scrap yard in North Fort Worth

A large fire burned through a scrapyard in Fort Worth on Friday afternoon, officials say.

The blaze started at a scrap yard in the 3800 block of Commerce Street, just east of Meacham International Airport, Fort Worth Fire Department officials said.

Black smoke could be seen from a traffic camera rising from the facility north of downtown Fort Worth.

The fire is at a business called Texas Industrial Scrap Metal. No injuries were immediately reported.
