Dallas fire investigators are still looking for the cause of yesterday's fire in an Uptown high rise.
Just after 5:00 p.m. the 911 calls came in sending Dallas Fire-Rescue to the Villas at Katy Trail on Maple Avenue.
Fire crews could see the smoke from quite a distance and when they pulled up in front of the 15-story building they could see flames and smoke jetting from the balcony of a unit on the 14th floor.
Commanders quickly added a second and a third alarm as firefighters worked their way up.
They busted in and quickly doused the fire.
Dallas Fire-Lieutenant Jason Evans says no one was home in the unit where the fire started so they've been looking through the debris to figure out the cause.
