
MIDLOTHIAN, Texas — The Midlothian Fire Department is calling on the community to help locate Riggs, their beloved firehouse dog, who went missing from Fire Station 1 on Friday, May 2.
Riggs, a familiar presence among firefighters and residents, has been an integral part of the department, offering comfort and companionship to first responders.
In an effort to bring Riggs home safely, the department has announced a $1,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to his return.
"Riggs is part of our family here at Midlothian Fire, and we're hoping the community can help us bring him home safely," the department stated in a social media post.
Residents are urged to keep an eye out for Riggs and report any sightings to Fire Station 1 at (469) 672-0920. The search has already gained traction, with locals sharing updates and offering assistance in tracking down the missing firehouse companion.
For now, the Midlothian Fire Department remains hopeful that Riggs will be found soon, emphasizing the strong bond between the department and the community in times of need.
