A Palo Pinto County wildfire has grown to 450 acres and there's no sign it's slowing down.

The Storage Fire, as it's been named, is burning south of Possum Kingdom Lake near Highway 16 and West Hell's Gate Drive.

Fire crews from the Texas A&M Forest Service have been brought in to assist local firefighters. One of the departments called in for help is Mineral Wells Fire and EMS which says the obstacles they're facing include high temperatures, low humidity and very rugged terrain.

More than two dozen homes are threatened. The A&M Forest Service expects to bring in firefighting aircraft Thursday.

The Service says this fire is exhibiting moderate to extreme fire behavior at times.
