The first of two cold fronts is now moving through North Texas. After afternoon highs in the upper 80s today, tomorrow's temps will hold in the 50s all day long.
To make matters good and bad, we need more rain, but not a bunch in a short period of time. A Flood Watch will go in effect starting at 7:00 p.m. this evening and running through 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning. This watch may be extended a little farther through Saturday morning if need necessary. Two to three inches of rain is possible in the flood watch area.
Due to the recent rains and saturated ground, flooding will happen quickly with the onset of the rain moving in from the south through the overnight hours. The bulk of the rain will fall while you're sleeping tonight, so please be careful tomorrow morning running errands or if you have to work. Again, temperatures will hold in the 50s all day long tomorrow.

Cold front number two arrives before you wake up Sunday morning. Winds will pick up from the north and gust to 30 mph throughout the day. Temperatures will tumble through the 40s by Sunday evening. 30s by Monday morning with some light rain around. This is very cold air for this time of the year. Welcome to Texas in late October!
The light rain press south of DFW during the day Monday, as temperatures hold steady in the low to mid 40s all day long.
Temperatures will get back up into the low to mid 50s for Halloween Day, upper 40s for Trick-or-Treaters.
By Wednesday morning, we may have Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings placed across of north Texas.. stay tuned.. these will be record low temperatures!
Enjoy the weather change and the rain, but again, watch out for some flooding overnight through noon tomorrow.
