Administrators at Flower Mound High School have alerted families about a possible student walkout planned for Tuesday to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, telling parents the demonstration is not school-sponsored and warning that students who participate could face discipline.
In a notice sent to families, school officials said district employees are not involved in organizing or promoting the anti-ICE walkout and emphasized that student expression is allowed only when it does not disrupt school operations.
Administrators said students who leave campus to take part in the walkout will not be permitted to return to school that day and will be marked with an unexcused absence under district policy.
