A gunman is on the run in Watauga where a woman was struck by a bullet that crashed through her front door yesterday.
Police got a call about gunshots at Park Vista, a townhome complex near Denton Highway and Watauga Road. While officers were searching for the source of the gunfire, paramedics were called to a unit where a woman was suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital but her condition has not been released.
Investigators found a bullet hole in her door. After the gunfire, witnesses saw a man hop in a car which sped off.
Police specifically say this was not a drive-by shooting. They believe the shooter had a target in mind but it was not the woman in her apartment.
