Help is on the way for many TSA employees in North Texas working without pay during the partial shutdown of DHS.
The North Texas Food Bank is partnering with the Tarrant Area Food Bank and Catholic Charities Dallas to host two private food drives.
"We'll help about 600 families at DFW Airport and about 170, 175 at Love Field," said Sarah Burns with the North Texas Food Bank. "Our hope is that will offset the loss of some of the income losses."
Each family will receive about 60 pounds of fresh and shelf-stable groceries.
DFW Airport employees will be served Friday from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
Dallas Love Field TSA workers will be able to participate on Monday from 11:00am until 2:00pm.
