FOREST HILL (1080 KRLD) - A Forest Hill police officer has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in June.

Ofc. Logan Barr, 23, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon by a Public Servant.

Barr was among those who responded to a stabbing at the QuikTrip on Wichita St. at I-20 on June 9th.

The suspect in that stabbing, Michael Ross, 32, was found hiding in a creek behind the QuikTrip.

Officers ordered Ross to drop his knife several times, but Ross refused those orders.

DPS says body cam video shows that Ross was up to 20 feet from the officers and not posing an immediate threat when Barr fatally shot him.

Barr was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on July 28th and released on bond hours later.
