Former Allen Mayor pro tem Gary Caplinger has pleaded guilty to two felony charges of possession of child pornography.
Caplinger will serve five years for each count and must register as a sex offender.
Caplinger was a real estate agent who was first elected to the Allen city council in 2006. He also served on the city's Planning-and-Zoning Commission and had been a reserve police officer for ten years.
