A former American Airlines flight attendant will not be able to collect anything in her lawsuit over an alleged sexual assault involving a British celebrity chef.
Without comment, the Texas Supreme Court has refused to take up the case of Kimberly Goesling. *While KRLD doesn't normally identify sexual assault victims, Goesling has been public about the matter.
Goesling filed a lawsuit against American Airlines, claiming she was sexually assaulted by celebrity chef Mark Sargeant while on a business trip to Germany in 2018. Court records show the trip was business related, and was about menus for international flights.
Goesling says Sargeant forced his way into her room and sexually assaulted her. Sargeant admitted to being in Goesling's room but denied the assault.
Goesling sued American Airlines. But a jury in Fort Worth sided with the airline and awarded Goesling nothing. There has not been any comment from her lawyer over today's Supreme Court rejection.
