A former Celina ISD teacher and coach previously arrested for child pornography-related offenses has been arrested again, authorities said.
William Caleb Elliott, 26, a former sixth-grade history teacher and eighth-grade coach at Moore Middle School, turned himself in to the Collin County Jail Nov. 6 on a charge of sexual performance of a child, a second-degree felony, according to Celina police.
Elliott, the son of Celina ISD athletic director Bill Elliott, was first arrested Oct. 3 on a state jail felony charge of invasive visual recording. He was arrested again Oct. 9 on a second-degree felony charge of possession or promotion of child pornography. Police said the latest arrest follows new information obtained during the ongoing investigation, including witness accounts.
Celina ISD initially placed Elliott on indefinite administrative leave. He later resigned and surrendered his teaching license ahead of a school board meeting on Oct. 16. Following the investigation, Elliott’s father and Moore Middle School Principal Allison Ginn were placed on non-disciplinary leave.
Authorities did not release further details about the investigation or the new charge. Police say the investigation is ongoing and ask anyone with information related to the case to contact police at 972-382-2121.
