NFL tackle Ty Nsekhe is giving back to students in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area this summer with a free youth football camp for kids and scholarships for high school students!
It's all happening this weekend, Saturday June 24th followed by his 4th Annual Celebrity Golf Outing at the Dallas Cowboys Golf Club on Monday, June 26, to provide local high school students with scholarships!
Ty joined the KRLD Afternoon News to talk about what it means to him to bring this opportunity to his hometown.
The FREE Youth Football Camp, presented by the Ty Nsekhe Foundation, provides a unique opportunity for 150 pre-registered youngsters to develop their skills, foster teamwork, and create lasting memories with Nsekhe and NFL Pros from around the league!
The camp will take place this Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 9:00am-2:00pm at Nsekhe’s high school alma mater, James Bowie High School, located at 1201 Highbank Drive, in Arlington, Texas.
Boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18 will be participating in this fun-filled event, regardless of their football experience. Each participant will get a specially designed camp T-shirt, lunch, and beverages. Throughout the day, camp attendees will have the chance to learn from Nsekhe and a team of experienced coaches who will guide them through various drills, training exercises, and friendly competitions. The camp's focus is not only on enhancing football skills but also on promoting important values such as discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Participants get to interact with and gain valuable insights from NFL Pros, as well as community leaders and local law enforcement officers. The Camp also includes an awards ceremony to recognize kids who demonstrate heart and hustle during the day!
Nsekhe, who has had a successful career in the NFL for the past 12 years with teams including the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders, and Buffalo Bills, is thrilled to give back to his community through these events!
