Former Ebby Halliday Realtors CEO Mary Frances Burleson dies at 87

The former CEO of the Ebby Halliday real estate empire has died at the age of 87.

Mary Frances Burleson held the top job for 20 years, stepping down in 2020. She started out as Ebby Halliday's part-time secretary in 1958 and became her friend and protege.

Current CEO Chris Kelly calls Burleson "an extraordinary woman who dedicated her life to service on every level."

She was a life-long friend of company founder Ebby Halliday who died at the age of 104 in 2015.

Burleson was known for calling all 2000 company employees on their birthdays to sing "Happy Birthday" over the phone.
