Former Texas Governor Rick Perry has endorsed Senator John Cornyn is his attempt to keep his senate seat.
Perry, who served as Texas Governor from 2000 to 2015, is endorsing Cornyn over his main primary challenger Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
"Senator John Cornyn has proven time and again that he's a steady, conservative leader Texas can count on," Perry said in a statement. "He delivers real results without the drama."
While Cornyn has racked up many endorsements in recent weeks, including several in the Texas Agriculture Industry, he remains down in early primary polling.
The Texas Primary will be held in March of 2026.
