A former Lewisville police officer is going to prison for decades for sexually assaulting a child.
Officials say 39-year old Bryan Gibbins investigated the sexual assault of children for the Lewisville Police Department.
Investigators say had a sexual relationship with a 15-year old girl who was already a victim.
Gibbins pleaded guilty to two of nine sexual assault charges, giving him 20-years each count, and one of 15 child pornography charge for another 10-years.
The judge Lee Ann Breading stacked the charges giving him 50-years total.
Gibbins had been in solitary confinement since his arrest in January. He won't be eligible for parole until 2044 at the soonest.
