A one-time journeyman NHL player is suing American Airlines, saying a flight attendant committed what his lawsuit calls "unprovoked battery."
Jean-Francois Jomphe played for three NHL teams over five seasons in the 90s. In July, he claims he was on an American flight with his foot resting on the bulkhead in front of his seat.
Jomphe claims a flight attendant named Mario Labault struck him very hard on the shoulder, telling him to remove his foot.
American Airlines is saying nothing definitive except that it's reviewing details written up in the lawsuit.
