Senator John Cornyn's campaign got a financial boost from Former President George W. Bush.
The former president is listed in recent financial statements from the Cornyn Campaign as donating $3,500 for Senator Cornyn to use in the primary and another $1,500 to use in the general election.
This is a total of $5,000 the 43rd President of the United States chose to give Cornyn who is in a tight primary runoff against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Former President Bush has kept a low political profile since leaving office in 2009.
Senator Cornyn raised about $9-million in the first quarter of 2026 including $3.4-million following the March 3rd primary.
