A 30-year-old Frisco man who worked as a teacher at North Texas Collegiate Academy’s East Campus has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing a child, police said Wednesday.
Eric Moore was taken into custody on charges of indecency with a child by sexual conduct, a second-degree felony, and continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first-degree felony, according to a statement from the Little Elm Police Department.
The investigation began Jan. 7 after an outcry and report were made alleging abuse at the school, located at 1851 Oak Grove Parkway. Police said they launched a criminal investigation in coordination with North Texas Collegiate Academy, which led to Moore’s arrest.
Moore was placed on administrative leave the same day the investigation began and later resigned, police said.
Authorities said they are working to ensure affected children and their families are connected with appropriate resources as the investigation continues.
