Former Texas Rangers pitcher Matt Bush is facing multiple charges after a DWI crash in Arlington over the weekend.

Police say Bush ran a red light on Friday night, then moments later crashed into a pickup truck and hit two other cars at Pioneer Parkway and Collins. Bush then attempted to flee by foot, but witnesses detained him until police arrived. He’s now charged with DWI, evading arrest, and an accident involving injury. Both Bush and the driver of the truck were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Bush was the #1 overall pick by the Padres in the MLB Draft 20 years ago. His early career was derailed by multiple incidents involving alcohol - including three DUIs.
