Fort Hood says Col. Michael Schoenfeldt was relieved of his duty because of a loss of trust and confidence in his ability to command.
Schoenfeldt served as the acting commander of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team. The 1st Cavalry Division’s acting commander approved findings that included engaging in bullying and counterproductive leadership.
Fort Hood says allegations of racism and maltreatment were unfounded.
Schoenfeldt has been reassigned and is now performing administrative duties.
