A candidate for Fort Worth city council has dropped out just days after an angry exchange following a candidates' forum Monday night.
The Star-Telegram reports it received an email from Darien George last night confirming he is leaving the race.
Some who who attended or watched Monday's forum say he lashed out at another candidate afterward, describing the other man with a vulgar term.
A third candidate says she stepped between the two men, describing George as moving "very, very aggressively."
A fourth candidate confirmed that George was berating his opponents.
George has been running for the seat in council district nine which is mostly west of I-35 and south of downtown.
