Getting online at the Fort Worth Convention Center is about to get much easier.
As part of the initial phase in the expansion of the Fort Worth Convention Center, the city and its exclusive telecommunications partner, Hospitality Network, are investing more than $1.2 million to upgrade the facility's WiFi infrastructure.
Convention Center General Manager Cynthia Serrano says those access points are being lowered by about six feet to remove interference from metal structures.
Bandwidth is also being increased from 500MB per second to 2 Gig per second, providing more reliable connections to support live streams and remote presentations.
